LYKEIO ARCHANGELOU APOSTOLOS MARKOS is a public high school in the suburbs of Nicosia the capital of Cyprus. It is a modern educational institution situated in a quiet and little verdure area next to Pedieos river. Our school hosts around 600 students aged between 16-18. Eighty-three teachers work at our school, most of which full time. The Analytical programme offers our students the chance to choose one out of six specialities, each emphasizing on: Classical studies, sciences, economics, commerce related subjects, foreign languages, art.
Our Institute is fairly small and often described as a family school; currently we have 50 students and the teaching staff count 17 members. We enjoy a supportive atmosphere and aim to help all our students to love learning and to realise their potential. Privileging a work-based learning, we offer specific subjects such as Agriculture, Environment, biological sciences, forestry and arboriculture, Horticulture, as well as English, Literature, History and Geography, Maths and Physics. Also, this workshop approach allows an easy and significant inclusive experience for our special needs pupils. At the end of the 3rd year, students get a certificate of Agricultural Operator and at the end of the course of studies they get a Diploma of Agrotechnician. What motivates our school to join the project is the possibility Erasmus exchanges offer to share knowledge and experience among young students, in order to give our contribution in the creation of a European awareness. Through our peculiar kind of learning and teaching activities, students can really show their European partners how to work land, care animals and produce our typical products like wine, oil, cheese. They can implement academic knowledge with their experience and share it with all participants, improving, in the meantime, their English.

LYKEIO ARCHANGELOU APOSTOLOS MARKOS ist eine öffentliche Schule in den Vororten von Nikosia, der Hauptstadt von Zypern. Es ist eine moderne Bildungseinrichtung, die in einer ruhigen und kleinen Grünfläche neben dem Fluss Pedieos liegt. Unsere Schule beherbergt rund 600 Schüler zwischen 16 und 18 Jahren. 83 Lehrer arbeiten an unserer Schule, die meisten davon in Vollzeit. Das analytische Programm bietet unseren Schülern die Möglichkeit, eine von sechs Fachgebieten auszuwählen, die jeweils folgende Schwerpunkte haben: Klassische Studien, Naturwissenschaften, Wirtschaftswissenschaften, Handel, Fremdsprachen und Kunst.
Unser Institut ist ziemlich klein und wird oft als Familienschule bezeichnet. Derzeit haben wir 50 Studenten und das Lehrpersonal zählt 17 Mitglieder. Wir genießen eine unterstützende Atmosphäre und möchten allen unseren Schülern helfen, das Lernen zu lieben und ihr Potenzial auszuschöpfen. Um berufsbezogenes Lernen zu ermöglichen, bieten wir spezifische Fächer wie Landwirtschaft, Umwelt, Biowissenschaften, Forstwirtschaft und Baumzucht, Gartenbau sowie Englisch, Literatur, Geschichte und Geographie, Mathematik und Physik an. Dieser Workshop-Ansatz ermöglicht unseren Schülern mit besonderen Bedürfnissen eine einfache und umfassende Erfahrung. Am Ende des 3. Studienjahres erhalten die Studenten ein Zertifikat des Landwirtschaftsbetreibers und am Ende des Studiengangs ein Diplom des Agrartechnikers. Was unsere Schule motiviert, sich dem Projekt anzuschließen, ist die Möglichkeit des Erasmus-Austauschs, Wissen und Erfahrungen unter jungen Studenten auszutauschen, um unseren Beitrag zur Schaffung eines europäischen Bewusstseins zu leisten. Durch unsere besonderen Lern- und Lehraktivitäten können die Schüler ihren europäischen Partnern wirklich zeigen, wie man Land bearbeitet, Tiere pflegt und typische Produkte wie Wein, Öl und Käse herstellt. Sie können ihr akademisches Wissen mit ihren Erfahrungen umsetzen und mit allen Teilnehmern teilen, um in der Zwischenzeit ihr Englisch zu verbessern.

Το ΛΥΚΕΙΟ ΑΡΧΑΓΓΕΛΟΥ ΑΠΟΣΤΟΛΟΣ ΜΑΡΚΟΣ είναι ένα δημόσιο γυμνάσιο στα προάστια της Λευκωσίας την πρωτεύουσα της Κύπρου. Είναι ένα σύγχρονο εκπαιδευτικό ίδρυμα που βρίσκεται σε μια ήσυχη και καταπράσινη περιοχή δίπλα στον Πεδιαίο ποταμό. Το σχολείο μας φιλοξενεί περίπου 600 μαθητές ηλικίας 16-18 ετών. Στο σχολείο μας εργάζονται ογδόντα τρεις δάσκαλοι, οι περισσότεροι από τους οποίους με πλήρη απασχόληση. Το αναλυτικό πρόγραμμα προσφέρει στους φοιτητές μας τη δυνατότητα να επιλέξουν μία από τις έξι ειδικότητες, με έμφαση η καθεμία σε: Κλασικές σπουδές, επιστήμες, οικονομικά, θέματα σχετικά με το εμπόριο, ξένες γλώσσες, τέχνη.
Το Ινστιτούτο μας είναι αρκετά μικρό και συχνά περιγράφεται ως οικογενειακό σχολείο. Αυτή τη στιγμή έχουμε 50 μαθητές και το διδακτικό προσωπικό αριθμεί 17 μέλη. Απολαμβάνουμε μια υποστηρικτική ατμόσφαιρα και στοχεύουμε να βοηθήσουμε όλους τους μαθητές μας να αγαπήσουν τη μάθηση και να αξιοποιήσουν τις δυνατότητές τους. Προνομίζοντας μια μάθηση με βάση την εργασία, προσφέρουμε συγκεκριμένα μαθήματα όπως Γεωργία, Περιβάλλον, Βιολογικές Επιστήμες, Δασοκομία και Δενδροκομία, Οπωροκηπευτικά, καθώς και Αγγλικά, Λογοτεχνία, Ιστορία και Γεωγραφία, Μαθηματικά και Φυσική. Επίσης, αυτή η προσέγγιση του εργαστηρίου επιτρέπει μια εύκολη και σημαντική εμπειρία χωρίς αποκλεισμούς για τους μαθητές μας με ειδικές ανάγκες. Στο τέλος του 3ου έτους οι φοιτητές παίρνουν βεβαίωση Αγροτικού Χειριστή και στο τέλος του κύκλου σπουδών παίρνουν Δίπλωμα Αγροτεχνίτη. Αυτό που παρακινεί το σχολείο μας να συμμετάσχει στο έργο είναι η δυνατότητα που προσφέρουν οι ανταλλαγές Erasmus να μοιραστούν γνώσεις και εμπειρίες μεταξύ νέων μαθητών, προκειμένου να συμβάλουμε στη δημιουργία μιας ευρωπαϊκής ευαισθητοποίησης. Μέσα από τις ιδιόμορφες δραστηριότητες μάθησης και διδασκαλίας, οι μαθητές μπορούν πραγματικά να δείξουν στους Ευρωπαίους εταίρους τους πώς να δουλεύουν τη γη, να φροντίζουν ζώα και να παράγουν τα τυπικά προϊόντα μας όπως κρασί, λάδι, τυρί. Μπορούν να εφαρμόσουν την ακαδημαϊκή γνώση με την εμπειρία τους και να τη μοιραστούν με όλους τους συμμετέχοντες, βελτιώνοντας, στο μεταξύ, τα Αγγλικά τους.

LYKEIO ARCHANGELOU APOSTOLOS MARKOS è una scuola pubblica nella periferia della città di Nicosia, capitale di Cipro. È un moderno istituto educativo situato in una tranquilla area verde vicino al fiume Pedieos. La scuola ospita circa 600 studenti tra i 16 e i 18 anni, il corpo docente conta 83 insegnanti, la maggior parte dei quali impiegati a tempo pieno. L’offerta formativa permette agli studenti di scegliere uno specifico indirizzo tra i sei messi a disposizione: studi umanistici, scienze, economia, materie commerciali, lingue straniere e arte.
L’istituto Professionale per l’Agricoltura e l’Ambiente “B. Marchino” è piuttosto piccolo e spesso descritto come una scuola familiare; attualmente abbiamo 50 studenti e il corpo docente conta 17 membri. Godiamo di un'atmosfera estremamente solidale e focalizziamo il nostro impegno nell’aiutare i nostri studenti ad amare lo studio e a realizzare il loro potenziale. Privilegiando un apprendimento basato sulle attività laboratoriali, offriamo materie specifiche come agronomia, valorizzazione ambientale, scienze biologiche, silvicoltura e arboricoltura, orticoltura, così come materie di cultura generale quali inglese, letteratura, storia e geografia, matematica e fisica. Inoltre, questo approccio pratico permette un'esperienza significativa e inclusiva per i nostri studenti con esigenze speciali. Al termine del 3° anno, gli studenti ottengono il diploma di Operatore Agricolo e al termine del corso di studi ottengono il Diploma di Agrotecnico. Ciò che motiva la nostra scuola ad aderire al progetto è la possibilità che gli scambi Erasmus offrono di condividere conoscenze ed esperienze tra giovani studenti, al fine di dare il nostro contributo alla creazione di una coscienza europea. Attraverso le nostre particolari attività di apprendimento e di insegnamento, gli studenti possono davvero mostrare ai loro partner europei come lavorare la terra, curare gli animali e trasformare i nostri prodotti tipici come il vino, l'olio, il formaggio. Possono implementare le conoscenze accademiche con la loro esperienza e condividerle con tutti i partecipanti, migliorando nel frattempo il loro inglese.
